MCS 1633 5.15 .038 1 x 10" The MCS 1439 you will remember is our Aroclor 1016 base high dielectric constant fluid which you have been working with for some tine. This sample is to permit you to continue your work. The MCS 1717 is an analogous material made with MCS 1043, our most biodegradable chlorinated biphenyl fluid, as the base stock. ' It offers the advantage of high dielectric constant and at the sane tine has a much greater rate of biodegradation than Aroclor 1016 or mixtures uuing Aroclor 1016 as the base stock. MCS 1719 is a hydrocarbon base fluid with a dielectric con stant close to that of DOP. It contains no hydrolytable components and should be comparatively easy to purify and use. The hydrocarbon base is the same'as that used in MCS 1588. I0S 003154. We think that it may offer a significant price advantage over MCS 1238 and MCS 1588, our other hydrocarbon base fluids, while retaining their other advantages. All of these fluids should bo used with an epoxide stabiliser. Bill Solberg has asked for vapor pressure data on MCS 1588. You will find a curve attached to this letter which gives such data. We trust that it will give you the information you need. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need further data. We are continuing our research to improve manufacturing pro cesses to gain lower selling prices and better performance for these materials and look forward to worthwhile improve ments.
