PROGRESS ON OBJECTIVES - 1974 (1) Visits to Mobil Companies to advise on the set-up of medical programmes, e.g. Mobil North Sea and Mobil Plastics, Italians, or the re-organization of existing programmes, e.g. Mobil Oil Nigeria. (2) Launching of Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology programme in Europe. (3) Progress towards better communication between Medical Departments in the region by: (a) a Regional Medical Conference in London in January 1974; (b) the distribution of a Regional News Letter; (c) anticipated closer relationship with E.R. Depart ments; (d) ? regional "teach-ins". (4) Participation in Medical Advisory Groups of the oil industry Associations. (5) The indoctrination of Dr. J. Winkelmann, Medical Director, Mobil Oil AG. (6) Review of the future of Dr. M. Russo in Italy and Dr. F. La Ferla in Libya. (7) Encouragement of more comprehensive hearing conservation programmes at airports, refineries and other excessively noisy work sites. 11th July, 1974. 184302 k CORPORATE MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 1974 OBJECTIVES '3 1. To provide a continued high quality of preventive medicine within the approved manpower and dollar budgets , to all divisions of the Corporation in accordance with approved Corporate Medical Folicies. 2. In accordance with Corporate Policy, provide and maintain a high quality and comprehensive program in industrial hygiene, toxicology and product safety for all divisions of the Corporation. Establish a Toxicology Department and centralize personnel. Produce guides on health and industrial hygiene subjects as Federal regualtions appear relating to OSHA and NIOSH. 3. Introduce OPSCAN medical visit sheet throughout USA and Canada. its possible use in Great Britain. Explore 4. Review the Overseas Medical Program. Explore the use of Assistant Medical Director for the International Division with the International Employee Relations Department and management, as well as the need for a Regional Medical Director and Industrial Hygienist for the Far East. 5. Continue to encourage professional staff participation in professional societies and require postgraduate education, and wherever possible, membership on Ijopsital staffs for all doctors. 6. Require Emergency Room refresher course for all part-time doctors and ambulance drivers. Upgrade and supply necessary equipment, i.e. defibrillator monitoring devices. 7.
