The meeting was called ,tb order at 11:00 A.M. by Mr. Gabrielson, , who explained that the decision of the\Suprme Court in declaring unconstitutional certain portions of the National Industrial Recovery Act, did nt pass upon other phases of the Act. It Is believed by competent authorities that the balance'of, theact is constitutional end that the new N.R,A. offers an opportunity *for the development of Voluntary agreements in much the same form and for the accomplishment of the same purposes forwhich the Asbestos Code was approved. 8 For the purpose of getting started, it was agreed that all members who signed the Asbestos Code should be considered members of this * Division of the Asbestos Institute, and that all Others who desired to Join may do So by signifying their desire to ths Manager of the Division. The Voluntary Code second draft, which has been considered by other Divisions of the Industry was read, and minor changes made in it after whi ch it was unanimously approved 7. On motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted that the Negot iting Committee be authorized to work with the Asbe stos Institute and with other Divisions to secure the approval of the Agreement by N.R.A, always reserving the right both as a Division and as individual Companies to accept or reject the Agreement as it is finally approved. 8. On motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously voted that the Secretary be Instructed to forward copies of the minuts, revised Voluntary Code, and Liquidated Damages Agreement to all members of the Industry in this Division, with request that they indicate whether the Agreement as drawn is acceptable to them, and if not, in what ,, respects, 'and with an invitation to join in the plans adopted. 9.
