5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS & OLD RECOMMENDATIONS NOT DISPOSED OF:
(232) Proper loading ramp in Commercial Products.
Submitted proposal is pending action.
General Remarks (Unfinished) *1. Commercial Products hazards previously reported:
a. Smoke from presses
b. Oil on floor from presses
The above conditions have improved and will eventually be eliminated as repairs to press pipe and fittings' continue to progress.
c. Guard on feed side of Skiver - T. Ganteaume to investigate and re port at next meeting.
2. Preventive action in sanding operations (Unfinished)
b. Safety aprons - Six aprons have been ordered. They will be a combi nation stainless steel and leather.
3. Dust collection methods for Filament Winding area still open.
4. Minicel storage in back parking lot. No progress.

6. RECOMMENDATIONS COMPLETED SINCE LAST MEETING:
1. Preventive action in sanding operations:
a. Pressure in main line has been reduced and investigation showed all. Thor and Ingersoll Rand tools incorporate advanced safety features such as automatic speed governors and over-speed controls that auto matically reduce air supply when speed exceeds safe limit.
(233) Explosion proof lights for use in tanks. Presently using recommended type and have ordered six additional.

9 NEW RECOMMENDATIONS AND OTHER COMMITTEE REMARKS:
1. Employees are to refrain from using air hoses for cleaning dust from their clothing. Vacuum cleaners are available.
2. As a result of two incidents which occurred with welding equipment, the following has been established.
Two craftsmen must always be assigned to all welding and burning jobs. All welding carts equipped with fire extinguishers.
3. Request for eye wash in Spiralloy.
4. R. & D. has installed two safety showers and reported a Scott Air Pac is available for emergency use.
5. Fire extinguishers will be inspected monthly.
6. Keep walkways in parking lot free of ice.
