To obtain factual infomation concerning the biological effects of asbestos, glass and other materials* This information will be used to refute erroneous and misleading statements which are being made concerning the health hazards associated with the use of asbestos and related fibrous materials*
Scope
A research laboratory program is proposed to study the biologic effects of asbestos fibers, fibrous glass and related fibrous material*, tubstances to be investigated will include naturally-occurring rrluryotlla. aaosite, crocidolite asbestos fibers, synthetic chrysotile, fibroma glass, asbestos fibers known to cause cancer in animals, as well as trace elements on the surface of asbestos which may cause cancer*
