Dr. Robert A. Kehoe, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati (19) Ohio
Dear Dr. Kehoe:
I was delighted to have your letter relative
to ;.:r.
an employee of Standard oil
Company. I have the following information on r.r. Patterson.
I saw him twice, on the 8th of November, and on the 21st of November, 19li7 He was referred to me by his local physician. Dr. Price H Duff of 1110 Buchanan Street, of this city. In my opinion, Mr.had a contact der matitis involving the hands and forearir^^^Ie gave a history of this having developed after he had cleaned out a gasoline tank which had been unused, and I think. Idle for several years. The second time 1 saw him, he had gotten considerably better but had developed some secondary infection in the area of dermatitis. It 'was not I who had the urine examined for
lead, but I do not know whether it was Dr. Duff, or Dr. 1'orrissey 'who had this done.
I am aware of the features of lead poisoning which you point out, and it was no thought of mine that he had systemic plumbisa from having been in contact with gasoline.
I am sorry that I cannot be of more help to you.
Sincerely yours.
