Goodrich Company Akron, Ohio Dear Dr, McCormick: Ue have your letter of February 22 addressed to Dr. Lehman in regard to the acceptability of Gdon Resin 440X8 from the standpoint of the toxicity as a coating for food packaging and containers. Ue also have your letter of the same date concerning the acceptability of Ferro 760X Stabilizer and Ferro 707X Stabilizer as ingredients for food-packaging materials. Our Division of Pharmacology advises that Geon Resin 440X8 has been established as acceptable for food packaging. Ferro 760X and Ferro 707X Stabilizers are special formulations of acceptable stabilizers. The Ferro Chemical Company has submitted the formulas for these products to us but it is, of course, privileged information.
