Subject: RE: e-introduction: EPA security, Indiana State Police
Thanks again for the facilitation Danny.
Good Morning Superintendent Carter,
As Danny mentioned, I'm the advance agent for the EPA Administrator. I arrive Tuesday late-
morning and was hoping to do a walk through at the school sometime early afternoon as well as
go over any pertinent intel for the area. Sounds like the ball is already rolling in terms of having
marked units for Wednesday and possibly a lead car for the motorcade, all of which would be
much appreciated and helpful. I am in the office today and around on the weekend and Monday
to talk over the phone. In the meantime, just thought I 'd introduce myself. Thank you! {'ZI'ICITI

Thanks again for the chat, Jennifer. I 'm connecting you hear to Superintendent Doug Carter, who heads up the Indiana State Police for the Governor. Doug and his team are outstanding, and just this morning we have begun preliminary conversations about what security and logistics will look like for the visit.
D oug..! -- is heading up the security effort for the EA for this visit, and she is looking to lock in ctefaiTs as well as coordinate a more formal walkthrough of the site and the area. I told her we will be as hands-on as needed and take as much of their plate as they want, including picking the Administrator up at the airport and transporting/staffing him throughout the day.
As I noted tol:r:::::::" Jthere are only two access points to the front of the school... two gates along a chain-link fence that can be easily secured. We can use the main gate entrance as a check point and ask everyone to park outside the fence along the access road between the neighborhood and the school, and then folks can walk through the check point. That can all be resolved this weekend and Monday, and obviously much will depend on the nature of the meetings once they are finalized, but my point is that I think the site should be fairly easy to keep secured.
ITl leave it to you to initially connect, and then we can stay in contact throughout the weekend and in the days leading up to the event. Thanks very much!
Danny
