A laboratoryreport on the asbestos testing of the first samples taken on August 30, 1989 is attached. The results are within the permissible limits.
The samples were taken during the asbestos removal in Bldg. #53. VAL 001, the area sample, measured out 0.002 fibers/cc against the permissible limit of 0.2 fibers/cc. VAL 002, the personnel sample, tested at 0.037 fibers/cc against the 2.0 fibers/cc maximum permissible for half-face mask. The crew has been wearing half face masks and protective clothing.
Samples will continue to be taken daily and testing done on a weekly basis. A daily log is maintained in the Gilman Trailer at jobsite.
