Bordenl PLAINTIFF'S EXHIBIT DUP-1698 TED ASBESTOS-RELATED MEDICAL CONDITION DOB 3/11/12 - RETIREE - SS This 72 year old Retiree was diagnosed as having calcium plaques on Both leafs of the diaphragm while undergoing flouroscopy for cardiac catheterization on June 14, 1984. The Retiree was evaluated by a pulmonary disease specialist on August 31, 1984. The x-ray diagnosis was confirmed. The specialist's findings were discussed with the Retiree on September I, 1984 and December IQ, 1984. During the DuPont employment, the job had been as a Mechanic. (See attached Work History.) There was felt to be opportunity for exposure to Asbestos; potential exposure began in 1951. By personal interview and analysis of the work history, the potential for exposure was determined to be only from DuPont employ ment. The exposure duration period at DuPont satisfied the latency period for Asbestos-exposure effects. This case is compatable with the DuPont classification of Benign Symptomatic Abnormality. A PA chest x-ray should be accomplished on an annual basis. DuPont accepts responsibility under applicable principles of Workers' Compensation and Related Medical Expense Reimbursement.
