One containing Pydraul 312 taken from a Lester 400 ton (Machine H7) that has approximately 6,000 working hours on it. The other container is Tydraul 312A from a Lester 150 ton (Machine 0) that was recently purchased by Neuschotz. The fluid in Machine 3 has only approximately 300 hours of time on it. The machine \/as purchased fron the Rockwell Manufacturing Company somewhere in Kentucky and was converted to Pydraul 312A, Lynn Dodson, Diecast Superintendent, claims that he and one other individual, while working on Machines 7 and 3 last month received severe skin ranh conditions and both'had Co go to the doctor to be treated. They did not file industrial claims on this, but in hi3 evaluation he belicvc3 that the fluid in machine f?C was the major cause for this skin irritation. I do not believe that there is any particular problem here, as fron talking to Lynn he told me that he was working on this machine for five days consecutively end was in continual contact with the fluid. I would imagne that this would be enough to cause skin irritation. However, he is asking that these tvo fluids be looked at to cee if they are contaminated and or usable so that ha can decide whether or not to leave the fluid in the machine, I told Mu that 1 would get an answer back to him in approximately two weeks, which would mean May 19th.
