Re: Nomination of Patricia Haver; U.S. Department of Transportation Advisory Board; Docket No.: DOT-OST-2025-003
Dear Mr. Secretary,
I am writing in regards to an application submitted by Patricia "Trish" Haver to become a member of the United States Department of Transportation Advisory Board.
Ms. Haver is currently Chief Commercial Officer for the North Carolina Railroad Company (NCRR). Since 1849, NCRR has linked commerce and passenger rail in our state from the coast to Charlotte and enabling more than $120 billion of economic development to flourish across North Carolina. Since joining NCRR in 2022, Trish has been instrumental in the company securing more than $2 billion in direct investments to continue its focus on infrastructure and economic growth. She also worked closely with my office recently to secure a CRISI grant of $105 million for the Carolina and Piedmont Passenger and Freight Improvement Program.
As Chairman of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee's Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, I have witnessed firsthand Ms. Haver's professionalism in approaching challenges. With more than twenty-seven years of experience in transportation, port supply chain, and rail, she brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the Advisory Board with a proven track record of results. I anticipate that you will find her insight, expertise and leadership to be an invaluable asset and make her uniquely qualified for this position.
Thank you in advance for providing Trish Haver's application appropriate and thorough consideration. Should you have any questions or need additional information, please contact my Chief of Staff, Anna McCormack via email at Anna.McCormack@mail.house.gov.
Sincerely,
