Attached is a sheet showing the releases for the 1982 GM export units. These consist of Abex Pagid 503-1W material on many of the vehicles for the front disc brakes. Note that the 1982 'A* car is non-existent, this having been changed to a * G' body designation going front wheel drive. A change has been made here, this will not use the Pagid material, but will utilize Delco-Moraine 8032. Samples of parts 18009512 covering the AMC Jeep requirements have been requested--these were previously supplied, but per the attached sheet will not meet the print. The basic problem is with the steel backs that are obtained from Iroquois (the Chevrolet production source). Delco states that Iroquois parts have a very difficult time of getting through the Delco-Moraine Receiving Group although they do get through the Chevrolet Group. Aimco parts pass at Delco-Moraine and may have to be utilized for minor requirements on these parts. The steel back part number is. 5474511. All of the GM export cars shoe and lining assembly numbers have been changed for 1982 reflecting latest revisions in requirements such as no steel plating on the majority of them, etc. Copies of these drawings have been requested. Note the sheet attached to this report. On these Darts, the only number that is required is the Delco-Moraine assembly steel back. This change will be cleared through Chevrolet L.
