I have no Information which specifically mentions the half-life of PCBs In the environment. In fact, we do not believe the half-life concept can be properly applied to a mixture such as PCBs In which each Isomer has a different'rate of disappearance and In a mixture seems to effect the disappearance of the other Isomers. I have enclosed two copies of a presentation we made to the PCB Task Force In Washington, D.C. In this pre sentation we attempted to display evidence that PCBs do degrade. Perhaps Mr. Roberta can use this information to arrive at some understanding of fate of PCBs In the environment. Regarding the request for sales figures relevant to Canada, I suggest you share with Mr. Roberts the type of Information we divulged in the United States.
