My dear Mr. Thompson: I have your letter of November 28 enclosing an encouraging letter from Mr. Crane.You want to know about the results of the lead investigation. I sent a third and final report of the lead investigation to Dr. Thompson of the National Lead Company in August of this year. The previous reports have evidently been circulated by him, and I naturally assumed that Mr. Crane would get a copy. If he has not, however, we can get this report copied here and forwarded to him. I am also sending to you two copies of the reprints which have already been published. There are to be three more papers and are not yet published, and which I can forward later. Of course, if Mr. Crane wants further copies I can send them to him too, although I think it would be better to wait until all the papers appear, when I plan to have a few sets bound to send to contributors to the fund.
