Fairley, 8l Collins Street, Melbourne, C.l, Australia. *" Dear Doctor FairleyJ It has been months since I received your last letter, and, despite the fact that I planned to answer promptly, I have been delayed by many matters, which, in retrospect, do not appear to justify my laxity. I am sending you, for whatever use it may be to you, a copy of a memorandum prepared some time ago by my associate; Dr> Machle, as a consequence of our experience, in dealing with the problem of tetraethyl lead poisoning. This may be of interest to you, and I append it for your critical consideration. I have had a communication from Dr. Blackburn, some time ago, and I have invited him to come out to see us. . Be apparently has not found the time for this as yet, but I hope he is able to do so. I have written to him and will undertake to make Bis acquaintance on one of my trips to New York, unless he is able to visit us before that time. I have been sticking as close to my desk as possible of late because of a mountain of work that needs doing here in the Laboratory. a I had the very great pleasure of/prolonged visit from Dr. Davison, who is the medical officer to Associated Ethyl in its manufacturing activities at Horthvich, and in its general British and European activities. He has his hands full in carrying out that job, but he has youth and energy, and I feel that, his stay with us for some three months has given him very nearly all that we could give him at that time. I expect to remain in contact with him, and I intend to maintain as active and interested as possible in the activities of the company elsewhere, For this, as well as personal reasons, I shall be pleased to hear from you whenever the spirit and the opportunity move you to write. : With kindest personal regards. Sincerely yours, F.AK ef Original by Steamer. Copy by Air Mail. HE 00134IG Robert A. Kehoe, M. D.
