Gentlemen: Ve have a creek that runs through our Plant and into an area where cattle graze. There are times when the cattle mag- drink water from this creek. We were wondering whether 3rou would have any figures as.to how much lead cattle would have to absorb in order to become sick and die .from lead poisoning. As wre are manufacturers of lead-acid storage batteries, there is a certain amount of pollution which we would be adding to creek waters. We would like to'have an expression from you as to your general views of lead contamination and absorption by cattle. We realize that this may be a very academic sub ject as we are not indicating the lead level of the water that they are consuming or the number of times that they drink this water. We feel that any information that you can give us on this sub ject, whether it be specific or general, ma}?- assist us in our program of purification of effluence.
