I had a call with staff on the size standard earlier this week. (Danielle's deadline for interagency comments was last week.) None of what I said should be a surprise, given the 8(a) size standard letter we wrote earlier last year. The recommendations in that letter hold for this rule too. The size standard office hadn't yet been looped in either. (There was an assumption that vague discussions about the 8(a) rule were sufficient to give notice that this proposed rule was coming.) I sent more detailed comments to Danielle.
We'd also like to engage on Lead, with the newly imposed deadline and the ongoing 610 review.
I'm out until Wednesday. Let's talk next steps when I'm back.
