N C' i . ' T . .:h O Q October II, 1939 Mmorandum tt Mr* J. . oagales It s sy understand ing that there m s & resolution passed by the Coordinating Committea in one of our meetings a few months ago that pre-employment examination was mandatory for all departments* * bines it ha reoently coma to jay attention that Mr* bikingstad, employed by Ur. Mehring for work at Baton Bouge, did not receive a pre-employment examination I aa wondering if either ay impression is not correct or whether all departments have not been duly notified. As to our own policy in the Manufacturing Department, w have always insisted that any man working within the area of our operations b subject to the usual pre-employment and routine physical examination, I would appreciate your further advice on this matter.
