Dr. Robert A. Kehoe Kettering Laboratories College of Medicine Eden Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio
Dear Dr. Kehoe:
I have recently examined a case of pri mary bilatera^ optic trophy. This man worked for a period of three years in the h a n d i n g of gasoline containing tetra-etnyl lead. As he stated, "using it soaked on rags ana as a spray for cleaning his machinery.
I should appreciate knowing how many such cases your files have on record. 1 presume a good many with systemic symptoms of lead poison ing, in particular, how many went on to complete atrophy?
I am indebted to Mr. William Elliott of the Conoco Company of Denver for your name as a possible source of information. 1 shall be
interested in any references, or other subject matter in regard to this question. Many thanks.
Very truly yours,
H*
