Kaldenberg reviewed the plant safety performance and goals with the group. 1980 safety statistics were good with 11 RI's. Expected had been 22. 1979 actual was 19 RI's. 1980 TIR: Operators were above the control limits. Maintenance was the best year ever. 1981 Goals: 11 RI's, 2 LWD. The holdover members next elected Jessie Butler as the committee chairman for the A-Term. Old Business o Truck Traffic * -- Dump truck traffic has been rerouted outside the plant. -- The consolidated truck loading rack traffic will be reduced by chaining closed the east end of the street. Material Handling personnel will be responsible for controlling the chain. o Manlifts -- This item is being reviewed by SAC. Training emphasis appears to be needed. PT Personnel Training -- This training program is being developed, o Ground Fault Interrupters 13025 -- A memo from Wes Noel, electrical supervisor, has been received. A program is underway to make sure polarized plugs used in the GFI's are acceptable. LAM014241 If / W. E. Bean, et al -2- February 5, 1981 New Business o Naphthalene Unloading -- The odor of naphthalene in the clothing of Material Handling personnel who unload the tank cars is persistent and annoying. The request has been made for both coveralls and shower time for this job. This request has been taken under advisement and study. o Traffic Mirror Near Cafeteria -- The mirror between the Office Annex and the Main Office Building has been removed.
