Ridgway, Chairman of Mellon Institute* a Board of Tmateea and the Chief AdmiaistrntiTe Officer, has announced the appointment of Or. H. 1-- Anthonjr QZ as a Director of Research and of Or. G. A. Webb as a Director of engineering. Both appointees, who took office on February 1, hare served on Fellowships of the Institute and are >"<ii`r with the operating princi ples of the organisation. Or. Anthony, a member of Mellon Institute since 1939, is well known professionally for his achievements in and management of metallurgical re search and engineering. He is an authority in metalworking, particularly la pressure vessel technology, including drawing operations, bracing, welding, and galvanising. Or. Webb returns to Mellon Institute from the post of manager, planning section, chemical division of Hoppers Company. He had formerly served on Fellowships at Mellon Institute during the years 1937-1940 and 1941-1943. Or. Schrsnk gave two lectures ou "Industrial Health Hazards and Control" as part of a Training Course is Fundamentals of Industrial Safety sponsored by the Western Pennsylvania Chapter'of foe American Society of Safety Engineers, and foe Western Pennsylvania Safsty Council. The special week-long coarse was held at the University of Pittsburgh from 1senary 30 through February 4.
