I understand that in time this becomes addicting and permanent damage to the nervous system results. I met one man, about 30, who had carried the practice so far that he had been confined for some months to an institution. He had involuntary spasms of facial muscles and apparently some dementia. I have made inquiries here concerning the incidence of this oractice, its usual symptoms, what the toxic agent is in gasoline, and une neuropathology that results.
