T The minutes cf t he previous meeting were aop;r oved. Moved and seconded that the Secretary cast one ball for the outgoing officers, who, being eligible, offer them selves for re-election. Motion carried. The Secretary reported, on behalf of the Pig Lead Sales Report Committee, that it had recommended several im portant changes in the method of collecting and publishing the Weekly Pig Lend Sales data, as follows: 1. To include a column entitled "Intra-Company" soles. N 586 2. To divide the present "Larket" column into two parts, one column entitled, "llr.rket" to include those sales meae from day to day in the open mar ket on. a price agreed upon at the tine of negotia tion, and a column entitled "Average" to include those new open market sal-s which are settled on an average trice basis. 3. It was recommended that a monthly supplement be published to the .Veekly Pig Lead Sales Report which would include the tonnage actually shipped by members each month and the unfilled orders on the books of the reporting m.-mber comtsnies at the end of each month. Inasmuch as these changes, with the exception of No. 3, had been agreed upon in Committee-by the reporting members, it was only necessary to consider the third sug gested chsnfte. hr. Behr requested a deferment of a decision on the matter- of collecting statistics covering .actual ship- nents, which was granted, anc the following resolution covering unfilled orders was moved, seconded and carried: RESOLVED THAT member companies contributing to the Pig Lead Sales Report, provide the Secretary, at the end of each month, with a total of the un filled orders on their books, consisting of lead held for customers' accounts at smelter, refinery or ware house and which has been sold and invoiced or paid for but not shipped during the month specified in the sales contracts - all these data to be combined and totals only published. In furtherance cf the President's suggestion . that the value and influence of the Lead Industries Associa tion could be increased by the addition of some of the lar ger manufacturers who are not now members, hr. Cornell thought it might be helpful if the directors had before them a list LIA00I01 of a few companies which should support the Lead Industries Association, out were not now doing so.
