It was at this meeting that Vista*s request to use recovered groundwater in the flame arrestors in lieu of commercially supplied water was explored with you and members of your staff. In the attachments you will find vista's explanation of two options, that are currently available, to the groundwater remediation program and a process flow diagram illustrating these two options. The first option addresses the use of recovered groundwater in the flame arrestors instead of process water. The use of recovered groundwater would result in the reduction of process water usage by 15 to 20 gpm. The second option is to send the recovered groundwater to the stripper, as we are currently doing. We would appreciate immediate attention to this request to avoid any delays in the groundwater remediation project.
