The Honorable Scott Pruitt Administrator Environmental Protection Agency 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, D C. 20460
Dear Administrator Pruitt:
Congratulations on your confirmation as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. The National Mining Association (NMA) cordially invites you to address the spring meeting of the NMA board of directors scheduled for April 24-25 at The Ritz Carlton in Naples, Fla. NMA's board of directors comprised of CEOs from the major U S producers of coal, metal and minerals, as well as manufacturers of mining equipment and technologies.
As the front end of America's supply chain--providing the raw materials and affordable energy required for a vibrant domestic manufacturing sector--NMA's members would be very interested to hear the administration's plans to move an agenda that will address excessive regulations and incentivize job creation in the U S.
We thank you in advance for your consideration and hope your schedule will permit you to give remarks on Monday, April 24, during the morning session or luncheon. Please advise if there is anything that NMA can do to assist you and your staff to make the appropriate arrangements by contacting Rich Nolan, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, at I / Personal Matters lor rnolan@nma.org.
Sincerely,
Hal Quinn President & CEO
