The concentrations of lead (from all sources) found generally in the air of American cities are low. ' The amounts of lead to which the general population are exposed - frpm all sources, Including foods and beverages - are below hazardous limits. h. During the past twenty-odd years, there has been little change, on the part of the "average," adult American, either in his intake and output of lead, or in the amounts of lead retained in his body.
