It wiH be revised to include preformed cylindrical products and wiH be circulated to the Committee for comments. HEALTH & SAFETY It was agreed that a program and budget would be established to con duct dust studies on instaHed duct liners and duct systems. (a) Short term - to be completed prior to the New York State Academy of Sciences Meeting on May 1U, 1968. G. K. Hammond is to handle. (b) Long term - to be discussed in detail at the next Committee Meeting. NTPA The following was agreed to pertaining to the forthcoming NFPA Meet ing to be held in Atlanta, Ga., on May 23, 1968* 1. If needed, Dee Cramer should be asked to make a state ment. 2. An injunction shall be secured against showing the AISI film (G. K. Hammond and R. E* Naylor are to make the necessary arrangements). 3. A list of fires involving fibrous glass duct shall be compiled. 4. H. Roux is to be asked to rebut any comments made to the NFPA Standard 90A proposal. REINFORCEMENTS The testing that was done by SMACNA and at the J-M Research Center on unreinforced ducts was reviewed. With respect to the further testing of reinforced duct it was asked that each manufacturer confirm to the NIMA office prior to May 15, 1968, whether their board products meet the following criteria: SD Board Stiffness (average) Ultimate Bending Moment (average) 475 lb.in. /in. of width 4.8 in.lb./in. of width HD Board Stiffness (average) Ultimate Bending Moment (average) 0, 800 lb.in. /in. of 'width 7.8 in.lb./in. of width OTHER BUSINESS (a) The SMACNA Exhibition of the NIMA Booth was finalized.
