KEICHWEIN, H.B. * ASBESTOSIS The following information regarding the above subject at Repauno Vorks is forwarded for your consideration. 1. At the present time there are 37 full-time Insulators on the site with 1 part-time insulator (80p at Eastern Laboratory. 2. The common types of insulation'in the order of usage arc Calcium Silicate, Limpet Asbestos Spray, Mineral Wool Block and Fiberglass. 3. Limpet Asbestos Spray is used at Repauno. 4. There are no known cases of asbestosis, mesothelioma or carcinoma among insulators recorded at this location. 5. Preventive measures required here include: (a) External exhaust system on power equipment in an air tight room. (b) Vacuum system on power equipment tables eo pick up heavy particles. (c) All persons working in the room on mechanical sawing of insulating materials are required to wear appropriate dust masks. , (d) All persons removing old insulation wear dust masks.
