This produot, which is shipped as a dried powdered resin* Is a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate in ratios of approximately 97 per cent vinyl chloride and 3 per cent vinyl acetate. These basic vinyl resins are extremely inert physiologically. It Is our Impression that any adverse effects that have been noted from contact vlth finished products of such resins have been due to the stabiliser* plasticiser* or other materials* that might be added later on. There are no solvents or other materials In the basic "Vinylite" resin VYMV-5. Me are attaching a copy of the specification sheet for this resin. If It will be helpful to you* requests for toxicity information on any products manu factured by union Carbide and Carbon Corporation are handled through this office.
