were apprled to rfhaved intact rabbit skin for 4 hr, 8 hr or 24 hr. After
each exposure period the rabbits were unwrapped and the exposed areas wiped
with ethanol:water (50:50) soaked gauze pa^ s . All wrappings and pads were
then sent to Textile Fibers Department f o r U H B H P ^ a n a l y s i s .
No skin irritation was observed during the study.
Procedure: The purpose of the study was to determine the amount t if a ny, of

layet of plastic wrap, gauze Stretch bandage and adhesive stretch tape.
After 4-hr, 8-hr or 24-hr exposure periods, the wrappings were removed and
the exposed areas were wiped With gauze pads which were soaked in a 50:50, ethanol:water solution. The atnimals were observed,after unwrapping,for skin
irritation. Yarn fibers and gauze pads ware returned to Textile Fibers
Department for analysis.
