The National Association of Farm Broadcasting will hold its annual Washington Watch event in May. Farm broadcasters in attendance come from a diverse geography across the US, covering a variety of issues. These broadcast journalists connect with the nation's farmers and ranchers multiple times daily in their broadcasts and are responsible for communicating the developments of regulations and legislation with their listeners and viewers. NAFB member programming can be heard daily on more than 1,500 stations nationwide throughout rural America. Farm broadcasters delivers news and information that matters to the agriculture industry.
Since the late 1980s, NAFB members have come to the Nation's Capital each spring to meet with key leaders connected to the agriculture industry. We've had an audience with the Secretary of Agriculture each year and at past events, have hosted the Secretary of Interior, EPA Administrator, Secretary of Homeland Security, US Trade Representative, and other cabinet officials throughout our history.
We would like to include Administrator Pruitt in this year's program to continue to offer the platform of farm broadcasting in rural and urban areas to share his message of working with the agriculture community.
