Frantz, Chairman of the Vinyl Chloride Safety Association requested that I send you the requirements for membership for you to forward to your associated firm in The Nether lands, Akzo Chemie, producers of vinyl chloride monomer. Please forward a copy of this communication to Akzo Chemie. Enclosed is a copy of the By-Laws for Akzo Chemie's consideration. Notice that the only requirement is for Akzo Chemie to forward a letter to my attention stating wishes to become a member as well as agreement to abide by the By-Laws, and designation of a per manent representative from Akzo Chemie with title and complete mailing address for use in subsequent association communications. By sending a representative of Akzo Chemie's organization to our next meeting, this will then automatically add Akzo Chemie to the list of members. Though our By-Laws call for one corresponding representative from each specific organization and one vote per organization at the meeting, each organization is welcome to send as many actual rep resentatives as they wish although the question of accommodation has made it the practice to restrict the number of representatives to approximately three per organization. We welcome your representative and firm membership into our associ ation and look forward to your active participation. Our next meeting will be May 15 and 16, 1975 at the Statler-Hilton Hotel, Arlington and Park Square, Boston, Massachusetts 02117, U.S.A. If your representative plans on attending, please contact the hotel direct for reserved accommodations. This meeting's agenda should be available early in May. A copy will be forwarded tc your attention. No formal proceedings of our meetings are taken, nor are they published. The purpose of this is to insure that we all feel free to speak with total candor regarding our safety problems.
