Experimental details of the study are located in laboratory notebook E87092. The test substance was prepared in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and administered topically lo the dorsum of both ears of mice (6 per group) at dosages of 0% (DMSO vehicle), 1%, 5%, 10%, 25%, and 50%. An additional group of 6 female mice was dosed with 25% hexylcinnamaldehyde (HCA) as a positive control. No statistically significant differences in the mean body weights or mean body weight gains were observed at any concentration. All cell proliferation measurements at all concentrations of the test substance produced no statistically significant differences. In addition, all stimulation indexes were less than 3.0 and no dose response was present. Under the conditions of this study, H21951 was not a sensitizer.
