I believe I have included everything of signifi cance (and some things not so significant). If I have omitted anything or aroused any questions, I shall be glad to supple ment my remarks or to answer as X can. For the present, this report is made to you alone. It seems that Dr. Saunders of Socony expects a report, and it is intimated in Mr. 6311*3 (William G. Jr.) memo of May 2 to you that Mr. Butler of Mobil International expects some word from me. X suspect that the report made to you would not be quite the thing to distribute, and, therefore, I await word from you before I extend myself in this direction. Perhaps, Ethyl should convey to the representatives of other companies such portion of ray report as may seem appropriate. (I shall, of course, write to George Saunders, as a matter of professional courtesy, but it is not up to me to report to other companies unless you wish me to do so. It is not that I am trying to "pass the buck".) This trip, while only one week in duration, "put me behind the eight ball" with respect to some commitments on specific dates, and I've been attending to them to the exclusion of everything else since my return home. I'm still pressed, but not so urgently, and thus X come through belatedly with this report. X shall be in Washington at a Conference at the National Institutes of Health, in Wilson Hall, Administration Building* on Wednesday and Thursday, May 10 and 11, if you should find it necessary to reach me.
