It may interest you to know that I have recovered to an important degree, at least in the field of Environmental Medicine and its concerns and that I am engaged in the preparation of a report for publication of the work done under my direction on the "Metabolism of Lead in Man" for some 35 years. This was left undone when I was overtaken by a cerebral hemorrhage in 1972. I retired actually in 1969, I reached the age in '65, but remained on until the end of 1969, and busied myselfijiiiih a number of matters connected with occupational medicine in various places, last In San Francisco. I now have an office and a secretary in the Kettering Laboratory, through the generosity of Raymond R. Suskind, the Director. ^ Iretain my memberships but I am not participating. I have ocular cataracts and I can't travel about, so that I am fairly well isolated. Hence, I am not voting for the election of officers and I want^xcT report this to the Occupational Medical Association. I do not feel capable of handling this matter capably and I prefer to report so to someone like yourself, as a member of the Board of Directors, who knows that I choose not to take part in the election for good reason and not through negligence.
