Session Information The following states are still in legislative session: California, Delaware, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine (required adjournment: 6/21/ 89), Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire (in recess), New Jersey, Nevada (projected adjournment: 6/20/89), New York, Oregon, Pennsylva nia, Rhode Island (projected adjournment: 6/20/89), and Wisconsin. Chlorofluorocarbons Industry Included on CA Oversight Panel to Phase out CFCs SB 231 (Roberti), which establishes a state program to phase out products containing or produced with CFCs, has been amended to include industry representation on the oversight committee. The bill calls for the state Air Resources Board to review the use of CFCs in products and their manufacture and develop criteria for adequate substitutes. The Board would be given the authority to ban certain products based on the availability of specified substitutes. The measure furtherestablishes the Environmental and Technical Assessment Advisory Committee to serve as an oversight authority on actions by the Board.
