As I mentioned, I did a little work last year for the Town of Silverton and San Juan County in the aftermath of the Gold King incident. Additionally, my brother is the county judge in San Juan County and was intimately involved with the local response. There was considerable internal debate surrounding seeking a Superfund designation, and in my opinion the city got some bad counsel from consultants who saw this as a moneymaking opportunity.
