DESCRIPTION: G-P All Purpose Wailboard Joint Compound Is used for bedding tape, topping, ccrnar bead, nail spotting, texturing.
CAUTION: Do not mix All Purpose Wailboard Joint Compound vrtth any other materlaJ.
MIXING: Mix 25 lbs. of G-P All Purpose VNtellboerd Joint Compound with 17 pints of clean (potable) water at 60 to 80 degreee
Fahrenheit. If dry powder or water or both are cold, more
'Water will be required to reach a workable consistency. Mix 'at about the consistency the material will be used. The wot mixture will stiffen during the first 6 to 10 minutes then, after 20 to 30 minutes soaking, will lose Its stiffness. Ooid water or cold powder or both may double the required soak ing time. After the soaking period has elapeed. the material
should be remixed and more water may be added to obtain a thinner consistency if desired.
APPLICATION; ApptyG-PAIIPurpoMJoIntCompoundtoellflatJoIrrtaand shear surplus out of tapers and off of end Joint*. Allow to dry before taping. This oooration will leave a uniform depth of taper for uniform shrinkage of subsequent applications un
der end over the tspos. Apply to Joint9 and embed the
tapes, leaving a uniform thickness of material under the tapes At the same time cover all nail heads. Repeat the
latter operation with eacn subsequent application of All Purpose Compour.c or no many times as needed. When the
compound haswhlter.oo (anytime after surface dry), cover the taped Joint with Ail Purpose Compound. Shear off sur plus, leaving a uniform coverage over the tapes with edges well feathered. Tno compound under the tapes and the first coot over the tapers must be thoroughly dry before the
next coat over the joints Cover the Joints a second time and shear off tho excess leaving o smooth, well feathered Joint. Allow tho Joints to dry before proceeding further.
Q-P All Purpose Wailboard Joint Compound may also bo used to texture tho surface of tho finished wailboard sur faces. For best results, apply a vinyl primer to the entire area before texturing Tho texture may be applied with a roller, sponge, brush or other suitable Implement depend ing on tho type of configuration desired For heavy tex tures, use about 72 pints of water and for light textures, use about 25 pints of water per 25 lbs. of All Purpose Com pound. Protect woodwork and trim during application and remove all droppings before they harden.
