The expansion joint pro posed for the outlet of the incinerator boiler connection to the HC1 absorbing tower is unacceptable for this service. The proposed joint will not provide a leak-free system in this area and allow vapors containing HC1 into the atmosphere. The system proposed by the plant will eliminate this problem.
