ECHA Restriction PFAS; Dynamic Case RE: PFAS restriction work plan - Transport sector
Dear
Thank you for your interest in the PFAS restriction proposal and for submitting additional information during the consultation phase.
We would like to assure you that all information received during consultation is available to the RAC and SEAC committees, and the Dossier Submitter. Where relevant, the committees will reflect on topics raised during the consultation in their opinions, while the Dossier Submitter's assessment of the comments may be reflected in the Background Document. The draft Background Document is then published when the 60-day consultation on the draft opinion of the Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) is launched.
To stay up to date with the latest developments, you can consult ECHA's dedicated page on PFAS at https://echa.europa.eu/hot-topics/perfluoroalkyl-chemicals-pfas

Dear Mr/Mrs,
1
Volvo Group has submitted comments during the PFAS restriction stakeholder consultation. We understand that ECHA is currently discussing a work plan for the PFAS restriction discussions with timelines for the different sectors of use. As already proposed in our submission to the stakeholder consultation, we emphasize the need to include, with the Transport sector, maritime transportation as well as non-road mobile machinery. Similar components are used in all the equipment that we manufacture, for the same technical reasons and challenges with alternatives are the same. We therefore consider it beneficial to discuss these uses together. Thank you for your consideration. Kind regards,
