Troy Stuckey, PhD Date Date 6ENFORM-019-R8.2 (02/12/2020) 1 World Imports Dallas Inspection Date 06/25/2024 2 Section I - INTRODUCTION World Imports Dallas Inspection Date 06/25/2024 PURPOSE OF THE INSPECTION This for-cause scheme marketplace establishment inspection was conducted pursuant to the Federal, Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Section 9(a), 7 U.S.C. 136g(a), to evaluate compliance with FIFRA and regulations thereunder. The inspection occurred for-cause for suspected distribution or sale of an unregistered pesticide, GClean GC200 Surface Sanitizer/Disinfectant. FACILITY DESCRIPTION World Imports Dallas was established in 2013. The company specializes in the distribution of international products, party supplies, hardware, kitchen & cleaning products, beauty supplies, gifts and more. The size of business is unknown as of this report's publish date. Section II - OBSERVATIONS I, EPA Region 6 inspector, Kiera Hancock along with Justin Mullenix, an EPA Region 6 inspector, arrived at World Imports Dallas on June 25, 2024, at approximately 10:25AM. Upon entering the facility, we met with an employee, and I identified myself and Inspector Mullenix as inspectors with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and asked to speak with a manager. The employee stated that a manager was not in at the time, then called Ahmed Aziz. Inspector Mullenix explained the purpose of our inspection to Mr. Aziz over the phone and scheduled an appointment at 12:30pm for re-entry. At approximately 12:27pm, Inspector Mullenix and I made re-entry into World Imports Dallas where we met with Mr. Aziz. Inspector Mullenix and I presented our federal inspector credentials. I explained the purpose of the inspection again and I provided a copy of the Notice of Inspection (Form 3540-2) to Mr. Aziz which he and I signed (Appendix 1). I explained to Mr. Aziz the for-cause nature of the inspection, citing a non-compliant pesticidal product, GClean GC200 Surface Sanitizer/Disinfectant (EPA unregistered), that was found being offered for sale at a separate marketplace. Mr. Aziz explained that the company only buys from vendors and does not import products from outside of the United States. He also explained that they do not have the product in stock and would have to check back with the records to see when the product was sold. I then asked if Inspector Mullenix and I could walk around the showroom floor and Mr. Aziz showed us the shelves holding the cleaning and pesticidal products. Inspector Mullenix took photos of several pesticidal products while I analyzed their labels for compliance with FIFRA. Love My Carpet Antibacterial Carpet & Fabric Deodorizer (400mL) Inspector Mullenix and I then went back to speak to Mr. Aziz, at which time I requested sale or distribution records and invoices for the forementioned products. Given the time it would take to collect the records, we then agreed that the records would be collected electronically at a later time following the inspection. I then provided Mr. Aziz with a Small Business Resource Information Sheet and completed a Receipt for Samples (Form 3540-3), which Mr. Aziz and I signed (Appendix 2). Copies of the Notice of Inspection and Receipt for Samples were then provided to Mr. Aziz. The inspection concluded at approximately 1:10PM. Section III - AREAS OF CONCERN The areas of concern identified during the inspection included potential distribution or sale of unregistered pesticides. Section IV - FOLLOW UP EPA inspectors will follow up with Mr. Aziz on the collection of invoices and sale or distribution records for multiple pesticidal products.
