The following safety item is recommended for consideration by the Board: 1. The Hourly Safety Committee discussed at some length the condition of tools in the plant. It was brought out that for mally, individual tool boxes were inspected by supervision on a quarterly basis, and that this practice has been discontinued; The Committee would like to see this in spection reinstituted on both individual and area tool boxes. Also, in the opinion of the Committee, the condition of tools issued from the tool room is quite poor. A typical incident of such condition occurred recently when a man was shocked by an electric drill. It was questioned whether electrical tools were being checked by electricians prior to tool room re-issue. Also, the flood lights now being stored in the quonset hut are not being checked prior to field use. The Committee recommends that the tool situation in our plant be corrected. iCu~L C r- CK . _ dt /=.C /It HOURLY SAFETY COMMITTEE >Joe D. Bonnette.
