Sawyer and he would be willing to conduct an asbestos orientation for the workers at the Sistersville plant. Dr. Sawyer, formally ran the health services unit at Yale University, has an appointment with Dr. Selikoff at Mt. Sinai Hospital, and most significantly he appeared as the expert in the video tape used by OSHA on the hazards of asbestos. Incidently I have seen the OSHA video tape and 1 think it would be a valuable part of any asbestos orientation. Dr. Sawyer would charge approximately $1000/day plus expenses and would probably be willing to have the session taped, if he could review the overall program before hand. Please let me know the Union's feelings about using Dr. Sawyer for this presentation. If they agree, I will make the necessary arrangements.
