At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Lead Industries Association on December 1, 1958, the attached amendment to Article VI, Expenses and Assessments, of the By-Laws was approved. The only change in this amendment is to reduce the manufac turer's ratio in calculating subscriptions from (2) to (1), the change being underlined in the attached. The expense of conducting the Lead Industries Association shall be ap portioned among the members and shall be based upon the lead production or consumj>* tion of the nenbers reduced to units of oetalllc la rd. In the case of the cluing, smelting and refining branches of the load Industries, the le ad produced in ores and concentrates, or lead bullion and pig lead, respectively, shall be the basis of the assessment; in the case of the manufacturing, reselling cr consuming branches of the lead Industries, the lead consumed, whether virgin or secondary, shall be the basis. 1 schedule of assessr.ents shall be draw up based upon the four major divisions represented in the association, i.e., (a) alnlng, (b) smelting and refin ing, (c) manufacture of load products, (d) consumption of lead or lead products In the manufacture of assonbled articles. Some members nay bo assessable in two or more divisions. Contribu tions shall be based upon the previous year's record of production and consumption, and shall be made quarterly. The minimum fee for membership in the Lead Industries Association shall be $200,00 per year, effective January 1, l?li0. Section 2. The fee for associate membership in the Lead Industries 'jssociatlon shall be~$200.00 per year, effective January 1, 19ti3, except that associate nenbers exporting lead or lead products to the United St.ites from a foreign country shall be assessed at the same rate as domestic members of the snoo division on the tonn age of lead content actually oxported to vhe United States, or $1,000.00, T*iichever is higher* ; : r S i
