He left in mid December and started work in s. hospital in Chester as an intern in midwifery and gynaecology with a view to paining experience in this subject over the next six months before returning to general practice, probably in this area. I have been able to find 5 replacement for John Doran and we now have two full-time doctors only in the Company. Last week I received a publication of a report of yours from hr. Devan purporting to relate to the additional 4th cc. of tetraethyl lead per U.D. gallon that has recently had the approval of the U.3. Burgeon General. However, on starting to read the report I found that it concerned s field survey undertaken this last summer on relative tonicities of tetraethyl lead and tetremethyl load, and realising that this must have been sent to us in error I have passed the report back to Kr. Sevan who is returning it to you. I have discussed briefly certain aspects of the report with Dr. Turner, our Industrial Hygienist attached to the Department, but no-one else, apart from the Managing Director, has been*made aware of it. I shall be visiting the United States in July and August of this year to attend the Fourth Conference of the Industrial Council for Tropical Health at the Harvard School of public Health, Boston, and the 13th International Congress :>n Occupational Health in Hew York. I should very much welcome the opportunity of meeting you again at the lettering Institute in Cincinnati if you are available then, and of meeting a. number of my old friends there.
