I am requesting a review of this question again. My observation is that we have leaned toward the prudent approach in questions of employee work exposure (air contaminants) even though thorough, scientific documentation was not available to us. Don't we want to take the same approach in protecting female workers who may be with child? The areas of specific concern are possible exposure to: > 7 I (a) inorganic mercury a (b) a host of chlorinated`hydrocarbons (c) carbon disulfide (d) inorganic lead, solder fume ; * A second question, independent of the above, is what our policy shall be once a female worker in the above areas is pregnant. Do we reassign her? Send her home? I know you are aware of the labor relations implications of this, and you can appreciate the need for a definite policy.
