I am therefore enclosing memo copies pertaining to the visits to each location. Your helpful advice at our meeting in Detroit assisted us considerably in our approach to the"various respon sible officials. Thank you again for your assistance. Cur* visits were, without exception, pleasant and inter esting. A uniformly favourable impression of our company1s willingness to inform the authorities in advance of the proposed increase in tetraethyl lead seemed to be the feeling of the various men. All were interested in the data contained in the U.S.P.H.3. Bulletin 712, although many had not taken the opportunity to peruse it in advance of our meeting with them. Following our discussion however, it would be my feeling that they would read it more thoroughly and retain it for reference. The more we discussed the contents, the more obvious it became that the material is a very complete resume of an excellent presentation. Your work in this regard, as well as that of other members of the Company, was of the greatest help in perpetuating the reputation that the corporation has enjoyed in Canada. We realize all of this is largely due to the excellent industrial hygiene planning which you implemented many years ago.
