The two samples were analyzed for asbestos content by noiarizea light microscopy at Bell Laboratories. Ground Floor Sample Basement Ceiling Cample Some asbestiform, birefrinrent fibers with low relief were seen. Dispersion staining in a medium of-l.ooC refrac tive index indicated the presence of the chrysotile form of asbestos. Kcst of the sample is crystals and glass fibers. Very few asbestiform birefringent fibers with low relief were seen. Dispersion staining indicated the presence of chrysotile. The remainder of she sample is crystalline.
