Suite 402 Washington, DC 20006 Ret TBA Monitoring Data Your Memo of September 10, 1976 Dear Bob: Paul Kotin and X have carefully reviewed the TBA monitoring date which accompanied Morman Rhodes' letter of August 25, and find it acceptable in form for immediate transmission to OSHA. In this regard, I suggest that either you or Guy Gabrielson forward the data to the OSHA Docket Officer with a short cover letter relating the date to Dr. Weil'e statement, which was part of AIA's comments, and hie reference to it. The cover letter should specifically note that although Dr. Weil saw this date in January, 1976 during hie visit to the United Kingdom, the attached data was only received this month by AZA with authorisation from TBA to release it to OSHA. 4 After giving some thought to the suggestion of also sending the data to Dr. Corn with a request for a meeting, I believe that such an action nay be a mistake. As a result of my recent conversations with Grover Wrenn, the lees that Dr. Corn is reminded about asbestos, the less likely he may be inclined to schedule a prompt hearing on the October 9, 1975 proposal. Once this data is suiNsitted to the Docket Officer, it will be promptly forwarded to the Office of Standards, and may ultimately reach Corn. Although my feelings may be wrong on this matter, in any event, Z doubt that a meeting with Dr. Corn would be productive in view of hie stated philosophy of no safe threshold level of exposure for any carcinogenic agent. m
